"The spirit of the Sodality is the very spirit of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises... Their basic inspiration is the loftiest ideal of always seeking for the ‘more’ and the ‘better.’"

Sacred Heart and Pray the Rosary for America
~ New Static Clings & Stickers ~

Picture
June Belongs to the Sacred Heart
In a time when men’s hearts have grown cold in their charity for souls, we are reminded of the Holy Charity of Christ for souls, represented by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Men have grown blatantly proud of their sins, dedicating in some cases a whole month to flaunt them in a public way. It is our hope that you will gladly place this cling on your windows to honor Him in a public way every month, but especially during the month of June. By doing so, you represent His cause which is the conversion of poor sinners.

“When we offer Our Lord acts of love and reparation, He uses them to give other graces to souls who need them.” -St. Margaret Mary

We pray that this act of love and reparation which you have kindly agreed to make will bring many souls to Him.

With the popularity of our Sacred Heart Magnets, we are now offering new, lightweight, versatile stickers in two styles. These adhere to bumpers, windows, school lockers, water bottles, computer tops and more.  The rosary sticker is 4"x 3" and adhesive on one side.  The Sacred Heart static cling is 4" diameter and clings from either side.

     PURITY CRUSADE

To foster a love of God and His Blessed Mother and to strive to do His Will, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Sodality has compiled a booklet. Our aim is to revive the Purity Crusade initiated by Fr. Bernard Kunkel in 1944 and to promulgate the Catholic standards of modesty, especially through the Vatican guidelines of Pope Pius XI and the Marylike Crusade approved by Pope Pius XII. Now more than ever we must heed the message of Our Lady of Fatima by practicing purity and modesty in our daily lives and by serving as an example for others. Please read the booklet (under the Purity Crusade tab) with an open mind. In it you will learn about part of the Masonic plan to destroy the Church through the corruption of women and the fashion industry. You will have a set of guidelines to follow and other resources to consult for more information. Most importantly, you will be armed with prayers to beg Our Lady’s help in this constant battle. May Our Lady guide us all!

MONTHLY QUOTES

March

"...our holy patron St. Joseph has the power to assist us in all cases, in every necessity, in every undertaking."   ~ St. Thomas Aquinas

"There must be no weariness in combating whatever contributes to the lessening of the people's sense of decency and of honour."  ~ Pope Pius XI, Vigilante Cura, 1936

"...the Lord your God is merciful, and will not turn away His face from you, if you return to Him."  ~ 2 Par. xxx 9

“To put into practice the teachings of our Holy Faith, it is not enough to convince ourselves that they are true; we must love them. Love united to faith makes us practice our religion.”        ~ St. Alphonsus Liguori

“What is it that renders death terrible? Sin. We must therefore fear sin, not death.”

                                      ~ St. Alphonsus Liguori

Love of Christ

"What we need most in order to make progress is to be silent before this great God with our appetite and with our tongue, for the language he best hears is silent love."   --St John of the Cross

A soul enkindled with love is a gentle, meek, humble, and patient soul.
--St John of the Cross

"My director, Jesus, does not teach me to count my acts, but to do everything for love, to refuse Him nothing, to be pleased when He gives me a chance to prove to Him that I love Him - but all this in peace - in abandonment."
--St. Therese of Lisieux

Divine Love

"The elect will always see God, love God, possess God and always will wish to see Him, love Him and possess Him still more. This beatitude is the end destined for all; God has given us time only in order to merit it, being and life only to possess it."  --St. Ignatius of Loyola

"O Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of eternal life, Your Heart is a glowing furnace of Love. You are my refuge and my sanctuary."  –St. Gertrude the Great

"I will go anywhere and do anything in order to communicate the love of Jesus to those who do not know Him or have forgotten Him."  –St. Frances Xavier Cabrini

 Modesty

When a woman is feminine, she has the strength God gives to her.  When she is de-feminized, she has only the strength she gives herself.                                - Cardinal Siri

We know that certain modes of dress which women are beginning to accept are harmful to society, for they are a cause of evil...those who spread this poison seem to ignore its evil effects...
                                                                -
Pope Benedict XV, 1919

Let us then be ever ready, ever willing, to defy the world and its immodesty with our courageous and determined efforts to be modest in all things.  Fr Paul Krug CSPV

Prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O Purest Mary! O Sweetest Mary! Let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on thee; for, in all my temptations, in all my needs, I shall never cease to call on thee, ever repeating they sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I utter thy sacred name, or even only think of thee! I thank the Lord for having given thee, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering thy name. Let my love for thee prompt me ever to hail thee, Mother of Perpetual Help.

His Holiness, Pope Pius IX, by a rescript of the S. Congr. of Rites, May 17, 1866, granted to all the faithful, who, with at least contrite heart and devotion, shall say this prayer:
AN INDULGENCE OF ONE HUNDRED DAYS, once a day.
