Our Lady of Perpetual Help Sodality

For Reparation, Increase in Devotion, and to Perform Good Works

"The spirit of the Sodality is the very spirit of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises... Their basic inspiration is the loftiest ideal of always seeking for the ‘more’ and the ‘better.’"

June Belongs to the Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart &
Pray the Rosary for America

Picture

~ New Static Clings & Stickers ~

In a time when men’s hearts have grown cold in their charity for souls, we are reminded of the Holy Charity of Christ for souls, represented by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Men have grown blatantly proud of their sins, dedicating in some cases a whole month to flaunt them in a public way. It is our hope that you will gladly place this cling on your windows to honor Him in a public way every month, but especially during the month of June. By doing so, you represent His cause which is the conversion of poor sinners.

“When we offer Our Lord acts of love and reparation, He uses them to give other graces to souls who need them.”
                                            -St. Margaret Mary

We pray that this act of love and reparation which you have kindly agreed to make will bring many souls to Him.

With the popularity of our Sacred Heart magnets, we are now offering new, lightweight, versatile stickers and clings in two styles. These adhere to bumpers, windows, school lockers, water bottles, computer tops and more. The Sacred Heart circular static cling comes in either 4" or 5" diameter or a rectangular 2.75" x 8.25" and clings from either side.  The rosary sticker is 4"x 3" and adhesive on one side.    The rosary cling is 4" x 3" and clings from either side.

     Purity Crusade

To foster a love of God and His Blessed Mother and to strive to do His Will, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Sodality has compiled a booklet. Our aim is to revive the Purity Crusade initiated by Fr. Bernard Kunkel in 1944 and to promulgate the Catholic standards of modesty, especially through the Vatican guidelines of Pope Pius XI and the Marylike Crusade approved by Pope Pius XII. Now more than ever we must heed the message of Our Lady of Fatima by practicing purity and modesty in our daily lives and by serving as an example for others. Please read the booklet (under the Purity Crusade tab) with an open mind. In it you will learn about part of the Masonic plan to destroy the Church through the corruption of women and the fashion industry. You will have a set of guidelines to follow and other resources to consult for more information. Most importantly, you will be armed with prayers to beg Our Lady’s help in this constant battle. May Our Lady guide us all!
PURITY CRUSADE

Adoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Console Our Lord at adoration on First Fridays and pray this prayer daily with us so that more souls will show their love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of Thee.
~ Indulgence 500 Days (Raccolta 225)

"Adore and visit Jesus, abandoned and forsaken by men in his Sacrament of Love. Man has time for everything except for visits to his Lord and God, Who is waiting and longing for us in the Blessed Sacrament."
~ St. Peter Julian Eymard

Friendships

Frequent not the company of immodest persons, especially if they be also impudent, as is generally the case; ...these corrupted souls and infected hearts scarcely speak to any, either of the same or a different sex, without causing them to fall in some degree from purity; they have poison in their eyes and in their breath, like basilisks. On the contrary, keep company with the chaste and virtuous; often meditate upon and read holy things; for the word of God is chaste, and makes those also chaste that delight in it.
                                                               ~ St. Francis de Sales

Purity and Femininity

"Let my conscience be ever upright and pure, my exterior modest, my conversation edifying, and my comportment regular."   ~ Pope Clement XI

"The most degraded of men are frequently won over to better lives through admiration for the conduct of others."       ~ Fr. J. de la Vaissiere, S.J., 1937

When a woman is feminine, she has the strength God gives to her.  When she is de-feminized, she has only the strength she gives herself.                                                                                      - Cardinal Siri

We know that certain modes of dress which women are beginning to accept are harmful to society, for they are a cause of evil...those who spread this poison seem to ignore its evil effects...
                                                                -
Pope Benedict XV, 1919

Let us then be ever ready, ever willing, to defy the world and its immodesty with our courageous and determined efforts to be modest in all things.           ~ Fr. Paul Krug CSPV

These sins (against holy purity) have become so common and are so blatantly paraded that even we might be tempted to forget sometimes how much they offend Our Lord.       ~ Fr. Matthew Wilder CSPV

Prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O Purest Mary! O Sweetest Mary! Let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on thee; for, in all my temptations, in all my needs, I shall never cease to call on thee, ever repeating they sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I utter thy sacred name, or even only think of thee! I thank the Lord for having given thee, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering thy name. Let my love for thee prompt me ever to hail thee, Mother of Perpetual Help.

His Holiness, Pope Pius IX, by a rescript of the S. Congr. of Rites, May 17, 1866, granted to all the faithful, who, with at least contrite heart and devotion, shall say this prayer:
AN INDULGENCE OF ONE HUNDRED DAYS, once a day.
